New FreeBee: Boosie’s Good Morning Scavenger Hunt — Find a Little Wonder

Boosie Bee explores a sunny Whimsywood meadow beside the Good Morning Scavenger Hunt free printable, a nature and kindness activity for kids.

A playful outdoor scavenger hunt inspired by Wake Up, Whimsywood! — made for noticing, listening, exploring, and sprinkling a little kindness along the way.

Some mornings are made for hurrying.

But some mornings?

They’re much better when we slow down long enough to notice them. 🌞🐝

There’s another little FreeBee buzzing into Whimsywood — and this time, Boosie Bee is inviting little explorers to head outside and see what they can discover.

Boosie’s Good Morning Scavenger Hunt was inspired by one of my favorite ideas tucked inside Wake Up, Whimsywood!:

The world is already full of wonderful little things.

Sometimes we just have to remember to look for them.

With this printable scavenger hunt, children follow the winding Whimsywood path while searching for simple treasures around them.

Can you find something yellow?

Spot a bird?

Discover something tiny or something shaped like a heart?

Maybe you’ll hear something that makes you smile or notice something that smells nice.

And because this is Whimsywood, there’s a little kindness tucked into the adventure too. 💛

Can you find someone you can help?

Or do one little thing to make someone else’s morning brighter?

There’s no racing to the finish.

No need to find everything.

And definitely no scavenger-hunt police checking those boxes. 😄

Just look.

Listen.

Notice.

Wonder.

And see what the morning has waiting for you.

And while they’re busy exploring, a little learning sneaks in too.

With every little discovery, children are practicing:

  • Observation and attention

  • Listening and sensory awareness

  • Early vocabulary and descriptive language

  • Curiosity and problem-solving

  • Connecting with nature

  • Kindness and empathy

The wonderful thing about a scavenger hunt is that children may be searching for the same things...

but no two adventures will look quite the same.

One child’s something yellow might be a dandelion.

Another might spot a butterfly.

Someone else may proudly point to their own bright yellow rain boot and announce, “FOUND IT!” 😂

And really?

That counts.

Wonderful for:

  • Morning walks

  • Preschool and kindergarten classrooms

  • Nature walks

  • Homeschool mornings

  • Family outings

  • Backyard adventures

  • Camping and park days

  • Those “What should we do today?” moments 😄

You can follow the scavenger hunt from beginning to end, choose just a few things to find, or tuck the page onto a clipboard and take it along on your next little adventure.

There really isn’t one “right” way to explore Whimsywood.

Because sometimes the best discoveries aren’t the things we set out to find at all.

A tiny ladybug.

A funny-shaped cloud.

A bird singing from somewhere you can’t quite see.

Someone who could use a helping hand.

A little heart hiding in a leaf. 💛

The more children practice noticing the world around them, the more opportunities they have to discover that ordinary moments can be pretty extraordinary.

Because in Whimsywood...

kindness wakes the world. 🌞💛
